Instructor: Sara Cohen
In this class, students take inspiration from the ocean to create fun and colorful 2D and 3D creations, including real and mythical creatures and objects found above and below the sea. Artworks are crafted out of a variety of materials that include various textures, colors, and shapes.
Projects are grounded in the fundamentals of artmaking including use of line, shape, composition, value, color, and texture. Using photos of sea life as reference material, students create ocean-themed artworks, while also learning more about the different types of sea life above and below the surface. Come create your realistic or fantasy marine world!
