Lloyd Bookman
Co-Chair
Mr. Bookman, a founding partner of the national healthcare law firm, Hooper, Lundy, and Bookman, Inc., is the Board Co-Chair of Friends of the Brentwood Art Center. He has been the Board Chair since the organization was founded in September 2012 to reopen and operate the Brentwood Art Center.
Mr. Bookman and his firm represent numerous nonprofit organizations, providing corporate and governance advice and counsel. This background has been very helpful for the organization, formation, and continued governance and operation of Friends of Brentwood Art Center.
Mr. Bookman has received numerous honors and awards, and is listed in virtually every prominent “best of” attorneys list, such as Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and Chambers USA (tier 1 health care ranking). He was named one of the “Top 100 Lawyers in California” in 2010 by the Daily Journal, and has received the prestigious Mathias Award for Healthcare Leadership from Partners in Care, and the Distinguished Service Award from the California Hospital Association.
Mr. Bookman’s wife, Beth Levy, is an artist and has been a student at the Brentwood Art Center for over 15 years. Through this connection, Mr. Bookman came to know the Brentwood Art Center and the unique and essential role it plays in the community. His participation in the resurrection and revitalization of the Brentwood Art Center is one of the most gratifying and rewarding matters with which he has been involved. Mr. Bookman looks forward to a thriving Brentwood Art Center for many years to come.
