Skateboard Design: Ages 9-12 (In-person)

$600 for 12 weeks / $320 for 6 weeks

Instructor: Henry “Hank” Olyphant

Design your own skateboard graphics and create a custom board. Guided by skater and artist, Hank Olyphant, students in this class spend time designing, then go through the process of refurbishing, priming and painting their own skateboard. Plan to be inspired by great design, develop drawing and painting skills, learn how to scale and warp designs to fit a skateboard, and much more in this exciting class!

Lab Fee: $50. Includes solid maple skateboard blank plus design and application supplies.

Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at

1625 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA. LINK TO MAP

Transportation and Parking: Centrally located for easy access from all over Los Angeles County, BAC is only a 5-minute walk from the E Line (Expo) Metro Rail station exit off of 17th/SMC. The Center has a small parking lot located right in front of the buildings entrance. If parking is unavailable in the lot there is 2, 3 and 9-hour metered street parking in the area.
