The Master Course series continues with six individual workshops, each one focusing on a different artist.
The featured artists will be Maurice Braun, Redmond Granville, William Wendt, Henry Moret, Edgar Payne and Guy Ross.
Each of these painters studied in Paris and were masters in creating impressionist landscapes, mostly of California, and went on to become the inspiration for so many artists later.
Students learn about the painters’ individual and distinct styles. Their brushwork, composition, and palette will be discussed and demonstrated.
There is so much to be learned from copying a painting, and Jill will be demonstrating throughout the class. Students are also welcome to bring a different image of the assigned artist to class to work on.
All levels of experience are welcome.
Mediums: May include Oils, acrylics or water colour paints. Oil or chalk pastels, coloured pencils or any preferred medium.
