Trenton Reynolds

Trent Reynolds is a mixed media artist and compulsive dabbler. His MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago is for painting and drawing but his personal practice has ventured into many other traditional and contemporary disciplines. Most recently he has been experimenting with the use of a laser cutter and engraver to manipulate painted surfaces and shape materials.
Trent has been teaching art in Los Angeles for about 14 years. He has taught nearly every age and experience level including classes at Santa Monica College, SMC Emeritus College, Milken Community Schools, LACHSA, as well as many public and private workshops. It is one of his greatest joys as a teacher to introduce artists to new tools and techniques that help channel their creativity.
He finds that the materials artists use for making can themselves be a powerful source of inspiration.
