Collage is an expressive medium in which students bring a personal element to their art by incorporating their own photos, papers, and drawings. In this course, students create artworks by layering 2-D materials such as clippings from magazines, fabric, old books, paper, paint, photographs, and other ephemera to create compelling visual compositions.
Explore how to combine paper ephemera by turning them into creative personal expressions. Course combines techniques including tearing, cutting, and gluing with a variety of drawing/painting mediums such as charcoal, graphite, pastels, colored pencils, and more.
Expand your artistic vocabulary, broaden your art making skills, and find your own unique artistic voice. All experience levels are welcome.
