Join visual artist, David Schoffman for this hands-on course taught onsite at BAC’s new center in Santa Monica. In this class, students explore classical and contemporary figure drawing techniques including use of gesture, anatomy, and structural rendering in the development of the human form. Emphasis is placed upon observation, anatomy, structure, line quality, volume, and composition.
Students work towards the goal of drawing the human form accurately, and develop their ability to capture their model's unique features and personality. The course includes short and long poses, while using graphite, charcoal, and Conté.
Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at

Transportation and Parking: Centrally located for easy access from all over Los Angeles County, BAC is only a 5-minute walk from the E Line (Expo) Metro Rail station exit off of 17th/SMC. The Center has a small parking lot located right in front of the buildings entrance. If parking is unavailable in the lot there is 2, 3 and 9-hour metered street parking in the area.
